We plan to bring back in to service the router we disabled last week due to the routing problems we had. This work will be done out of hours so as to minimise disruption if there are problems.

DESCRIPTION
We will be bringing up a new cross-datacentre fibre link between our two London datacentres. (Telehouse and Harbour Exchange) We already have two links, this is a third to further increase resilience. No customer impact is expected.
Resolution: Change reverted due to problems.

DESCRIPTION
We will be performing software upgrades on various FireBrick routers and LNSs across our network, starting this week. These are scheduled to happen between 1AM and 4AM and will happen over the course of a few weeks. With our LNS upgrades, we perform one upgrade night and will involve a line drop and reconnect of broadband lines for those connected to that particular LNS. This 'one LNS upgrade per night' will last until February 2nd.
Resolution: This has been completed!

DESCRIPTION
Due to the recent outages we are needing to investigate in more detail some of our network infrastructure. We are planning to do this from 2AM on Thursday 17th September, and plan to complete the work by 5AM. So as to fully understand and fix the cause of some of our recent problems we may cause some disruption to services. There may be line drops and short periods where there may be limited connectivity. We will attempt to keep this to a minimum, and will update this post throughout the period.
Resolution: This work has been completed. There are a couple of outstanding things we still need to work on, but on the whole this has been successful. The main thing being the reboot of a core switch which has fixed most of the problems we've had recently.

DESCRIPTION
From 11th September we will be upgrading the software on our routers. This includes our LNSs too, which will involve a short blip on customer's broadband lines as switch lines over to the upgraded LNSs. DESCRIPTION
We have some rolling upgrades planned for this month. These are normally done in the night, and usually not disruptive. We are however expecting to also update LNSs which cause PPP session to move in the night as usual, causing few seconds outage. Thank you for your patience.

DESCRIPTION
We will be bringing up a new fibre connection between our Maidenhead and Telehouse datacentre on Thursday evening. This will increase the capacity and resilience of our Maidenhead site. We don't expect this to cause any disruption, but should be considered an 'at risk' period for services that we host in Maidenhead. This includes Email, VoIP and access to the Control Pages.
