We're investigating a problem with customers accessing their email by POP3, IMAP or webmail. This is looking like a problem with the authentication process.
This is affecting a small set of customers, as just a particular back end server combination is affected.
Service should now be restored... We're still checking a few things.
There is a delay with some incoming emails - one of our severs has been queueing email - these will be delivered to inboxes shortly.
Access to email was restored at 8:30pm, and queued mail has now been delivered. We apologies for the inconvenience this caused those affected. The cause was database access problems from one of our backend mail servers. A workaround was applied, and we'll be reviewing the failure in order prevent this from happening again.
