    We had problems overnight with one of our interconnects to BT. This resulted in a large number of BT lines dropping and reconnecting. Due to that way that reconnects work in this situation we have a higher than normal number lines on a single LNS (router) at our side.

    So as to avoid these lines from experiencing congestion we plan to force them to reconnect to the correct LNS from 17:30 this evening. This will mean a PPP drop and reconnect for these affected lines resulting in loss of service whilst the customer router reconnects. This would take between a few seconds and a minute depending on the router at the customer side.
