Update from supplier; We've identified an issue impacting customer connectivity. Our initial analysis shows the issue is impacting service in and around London regions. We're currently working through the impact and issue and will look to provide more detail as soon as we have it. We'll keep you informed and updated on developments. Our priority is to restore service to normal operations with minimal disruption as soon as possible.
Update: It is now possible to reroute most of the remaining subscriber circuits off the core device. IP Access are in the process of rerouting these now which will leave a low volume of subscribers on the core device in the event of another issue. Also to provide further resiliency the transmission team are working with field engineering to reroute traffic via a different Zayo leg so that any further Zayo drops will not impact this core device any longer. We will keep you informed and updated on any further developments.
Update: Subscribers on the core device is now down to 7000 and this may reduce further. All other subscribers have been rerouted. Virgin medias latest update advise they suspect a potential fibre break. Engineers and ERS splicers have been requested to asses what work is required on site. We are pending further updates regarding our transmission team and field engineers rerouting traffic over a different Zayo leg. We will continue to keep you informed of any further updates.
This was caused by a fibre break in the London area - traffic was rerouted, and has remained stable.
