We've see a few TalkTalk ADSL/VDSL lines drop and reconnect this morning. This was caused by a power alert on a network card on a device in TalkTalk's network that routes L2TP traffic in Telehouse. The card reset itself and re-routed traffic causing a small number of lines to drop their PPP and reconnect a few moments later.
We saw further drop and reconnects over night (Sunday morning) for a small number of TalkTalk customers - these were at 02:23 03:56 04:04 04:33. We're awaiting to hear back from TalkTalk regarding if they were related to the power/card problem on Saturday.
TalkTalk has been stable since 04:33. We'll keep this status post open until we hear back from TalkTalk.
The drops on Sunday morning have been attributed to a separate issue, as per this statement from TalkTalk: "During a planned work carried out by Zayo, a third party providing core links, disturbances were experienced causing intermittent connectivity to some circuits."
Two separate incidents within TalkTalk's network caused a small number of our customers to drop their connection and reconnect moments later on Saturday mid-morning and Sunday early morning.
