We will be bringing online our new DNS resolvers (These are the servers you'd know as 217.169.20.20, 217.169.20.21, 2001:8b0::2020 and 2001:8b0::2021).
These are new servers in our new rack and are part of the work we've been doing with new BT links etc.
The first time we brought these online there were problems. We do believe these have been solved and our testing as shown them to be working as expected.
Note: 217.169.20.20, 217.169.20.21, 2001:8b0::2020 and 2001:8b0::2021 are 'anycast' - which means that customer connections and servers in Maidenhead use the same IPs, but actually reach different machines - this work will affect the servers used by ADSL/FTTC customers.
The IPs are not changing, customers do not need to make any changes.
This is happening now.
The new servers are now live, we'll monitor them closely.
The new DNS servers are working well.
