Network monitoring has determined that we are receiving a steady increase in fibre (FTTC) faults against the Dunfermline exchange. Fibre customers may experience problems using their data service for the duration of the incident. Some fibre customers at FTTC child exchanges Dalgety Bay, Cowdenbeath, New Oakley, Newmills and Kelty may also experience problems using their data service. NOC Monitoring observed a spike in calls for Dunfermline exchange. Investigations found this was due to their not being enough P pools on the NGE router (NGE001.DUN). This was raised to IP Engineering who added additional pools, which alleviated the issue, restoring service. This incident is resolved and will be passed to the Problem Management process. Â
