Our SMS gateway suffered a failure over night when one of the web servers stopped running entirely. This means that some SMS messages over night would have been lost. We're currently unsure why this happened, but have some clues from the logs and an idea how to fix it and will investigate in greater detail.
This is being investigated, but to clarify, where the web front end has stopped like this it means some SMS may not have been received by our service and hence may not have been delivered. The sending system would have been aware of the failure to deliver to us and may or may not have reported non delivery as is normal for any failure to deliver an SMS. SMS is never 100% (hence why non-delivery reporting exists in the design). This does not mean we have “lost” any SMS, or personal data, that were sent to us. Sorry if that was not clear.
