Summary Openreach have advised that their Problem Management team within Ethernet repair has identified a trend of incidents linked back to the Network Termination Equipment (NTE) installed at customerâs sites for 1G Ethernet services. After completing extensive testing with ADVA, together they have managed to identify a memory leakage issue with a specific software version. Over the next two weeks, Openreach repair teams will be recording Planned Engineering Works (PEW) notifications with the affected CPs to schedule down-time and complete a full reboot of the NTE to remove the immediate risk of an uncontrolled outage. This reboot provides ADVA time to design and test a permanent solution to this problem. Once a new software version is available for release, a final PEW notification will be issued to the affected CPs. The final PEW will allow the Openreach technical teams to upload new software, permanently resolving the problem for all affected users. N/A
