Overview of Work: Switch install 
Install 2nd EX4200 switch and create virtual chassis 
The exchange switch is the main interface of our customers and our network at the exchange level. This RFC is to upgrade the main exchange switch to a Juniper EX4200. This is a proactive UK Wide Upgrade programme. 
The Replacement switch offers many benefits; we will to increase our network resilience as the new switch is a dual DC feed switch which will provide resilience in the event of a power issue. We will be able to increase Switch port capacity meaning we can connect more services to the switch as the EX4200 has 24 ports rather than the typical 12. The upgrade also means that Fibre to the Cabinet customers (FTTC) can be connected to the exchange; currently FTTC customers cannot connect as they require a Juniper exchange-based switch. The programme of work will also replace any End of Line obsolete Tiscali UK switches with a single EX4200 
This is a relatively simple change to undertake and we do not anticipate any unexpected issues during or after the change.  All voice; data and TV services on the exchanges listed will be unavailable for the duration of the work. Barnwood
