Virgin Media-Virgin Media emergency damaged fibre replacement at Bermondsey :: CRQ000000078688
We have been informed by our supplier that they intend to carry out maintenance within their network. The purpose of this work is to carry out network development. During the maintenance window you may experience one period of outage to the maximum specified below. As this maintenance is not under the control of TalkTalk it may not be possible to reschedule it and we have provided all the information that we can.

"During this Urgent change window a partially damaged 48F section of fibre will be replaced with a new section of 96F. The damaged caused multiple outages - all now recovered to spares - but no spares remain - in the event of further degradation service will not be recoverable. During this window - the damaged 48F will be cut away and service re-spliced back to their design positions on the replacement 96F (already pulled into place).
PLEASE NOTE: During the preceding incident & recovery work under Talk Talk Ref: INC00007945 - Engineers re-crossed patch leads at BT Croydon - A Talk Talk Engineer will be required to revisit BT Croydon to undo the cross fibre - once splicing has concluded (Please refer to Ashley Molyneux; who is aware of this requirement).
