One of our transit providers (Lumen) are performing critical maintenance on their fibres that provide some of our Internet connectivity in our Telehouse datacentre. This will mean that one of our transit links will be taken down for the period of their work:
Starting: 2021-06-23 22:00 until 2021-06-24 06:00
We have multiple transit providers and do not anticipate that this will affect our customers.
We have taken this link out of service whilst Lumen carry out their work tonight. (No customer impact, except for one customer who had a number of lines reconnect - we are discussing this with them directly.)
Lumen have started their work on the fibre.
Lumen finished their work last night, but there is a fault which is being investigated. (no customer impact)
The fault is that our fibre has been spliced incorrectly and we're connected to the wrong port at Lumen's end. Lumen and the datacentre are working to put this right.
The datacentre are planning to re-splice the fibres tonight, at 22:00.
The fibre was re-spliced last night, and the link has been stable. We've re-enabled the service and traffic is flowing as normal now.
