We serve our internet connections from two datacentres in London. At the moment one datacentre is running on generator power. The datacentre are not expecting any service problems but this is a period of 'at risk' as there is potential for power to be lost which would result in broadband and Ethernet circuits being disrupted.
Datacentre report: Equinix IBX Site Staff reports that the fault occurred on a high voltage underground electricity cable in the local area. IBX [datacentre] Engineers are monitoring whilst works continue via vendor to rectify the issue. Equinix Site Staff reports that the vendor arrived on site to investigate the issue.
Equinix Site Staff reports that the utility provider has rectified the issue. Customer loads have been transferred from generator power to utility power and the customer loads remain stable on utility power. Datacentre Engineers will monitor the system for stability.
