INFORMATION
  • INITIAL
    1¼ years ago by Andrew

We saw a number of BT lines drop at around 16:05. Most have reconnected.

  • UPDATE

Looks like this affected other ISPs too. Also looks to have affected lines in the south-east of the UK.

  • UPDATE
    1¼ years ago by Andrew

Whilst many lines reconnected after a minute or two, some are still offline. Customers still down could try switching off their router for a couple of minutes then retrying. (High demand in the BT network can cause problems when many lines to to reconnect at the same time)

  • UPDATE
    1¼ years ago by Andrew

Most of lines that are still offline are those in EC postcodes - but the majority of lines that dropped initially are back.

  • UPDATE
    1¼ years ago by Andrew

We've given BT a list of circuits that are still down. (The number of lines still down is about 15% of the total number of lines that dropped initially)

  • UPDATE
    1¼ years ago by Andrew

The remaining lines reconnected just before 5PM

  • RESOLUTION
    1¼ years ago by Andrew

This was an incident at BTs FARADAY location affecting multiple ISPs and many broadband lines in the south-east of the UK. BT have not yet given further details about the cause.
