We've had a couple of reports of incoming SMSs not being received to 07 numbers that we provide. We've tested a few numbers ourselves too, and they are yet to be received. Our logs are showing some SMSs are being received, so this seems not to be affecting all 07 numbers. The problems started around 5pm today
We have raised this with the carrier.
06:07: Carrier says: We are aware of some issues impacting inbound messages towards ported-IN numbers from various UK Service Providers. Our messaging team is currently investigating this issue and we will provide more updates as soon as they are available.
07:09: Carrier says: Our messaging team has raised the case with our SCCP carriers for further investigation.
08:13: Carrier says: Our messaging team is still investigating the case with our SCCP carriers and we will come back with another update within the next hour.
We've been receiving some incoming SMS from around 9AM today - possibly not all numbers are working, but we're awaiting updates from the carrier.
Carrier say: One of our SCCP carriers has identified a configuration error within their STPs that caused messages towards our MPC to be dropped(!). This resulted in any inbound SMS that would have transited their network starting with 17:30 UTC on March 10th to not be forwarded. Starting with 08:55 UTC March 11th this issue has been solved and ported-in traffic is now working as expected.
(We have asked why a configuration change was made at 17:30 on a Friday...)
