Customer on our 'V.Gormless' LNS have being seeing very slow speeds since 7:30pm this evening. This is affecting about 5% of our customers.
We have taken V.Gormless out of service and we will move customers off it by way of restarting their PPP session. This will drop their connection for a few seconds but the speed will then improve as they will connect to a different LNS.
Lines have been moved off the V.Gormless LNS. Customer's upload speed was fine, but download speeds were severely impacted.
Some customers moved back on to V this morning, and have been moved off again. Investigation is continuing.
Customers have been moved off the affected router and we'll continue our investigation in to the cause tomorrow.
...A problem has been identified with the traffic shaping code in the latest FireBrick Software. A temporary solution by way of configuration change has been applied to our routers, and a software update will be applied in due course.
