We have had reports of some issues with calls to SIP2SIM mobiles. This is being investigated. Note that SMS is unaffected. Note calls from mobiles are unaffected.
This looks like it relates to the firewalling issue in to the carrier. This was being tested on a test SIM, but somehow the main operating SIMs have stopped working some of the time now. We are trying a change now.
This looks to have finally caught up. We'll continue testing on a test SIM separately as the live service is running on one server still.
Seeing some strange issues still.
OK SIMs are on the right (single) server now, but looks like their firewall has not followed. We are waiting for it to catch up. This is very frustrating. Only consolation is once we have this all sorted it should stay sorted.
We are still chasing this with ONSIM.
We are still waiting, and chasing with carriers. At this point we are not just using "one server", but a single A record in DNS, no CNAMEs, no SRVs, nothing remotely complicated. Trying to convince their firewall to play the game. Once we have it working, we can find the "rules" using a test system and only then move live service over.
We may finally be getting somewhere, and the carrier actually manually adding the necessary firewall rules - if so this will solve the issue once and for all - fingers crossed.
We are told maybe 20 minutes for firewall update. Clearly this may be optimistic. Very optimistic... Sorry, we'll keep chasing throughout the evening.
They are "waiting on change approval". Arrrg! Chasing.
There is a danger of maybe 50% of calls starting to work anyway regardless, but once they manually update the firewall it should be properly fixed.
Still waiting… very frustrating.
“Mr Hammond, the phones are working”. Well it looks like it and they claim to have added the firewall rules, but I’ll leave this issue open and test more in the morning to be sure. Thanks you all for your patience.
This looks like it is resolved now, with proper fixed firewall rules at the carrier. I have added a free day off the next bill, thank you for your patience.
