At 11:21 we saw a small number of TalkTalk lines drop and reconnect. We're investigating.
The lines that reconnected are in common areas - so this looks like a fibre break within TalkTalks's network which caused traffic to be re-routed. We'll contact TalkTalk for more details.
Affected customers had reconnected by 11:24
Another drop and reconnect event happened, affecting (mostly) the same set of lines, at 11:40. Lines were back online a couple of minutes later.
TalkTalk have acknowledged the outages and are investigating.
TalkTalk say this was a fibre break to a London Datacentre "The backhaul to the exchange dropped and services moved over to the resilient link. There may have been a brief disruption whilst connectivity was restored across the alternate link."
We'll monitor for further occurrences of this.
A TalkTalk backhaul connection failed (twice?) and traffic was re-routed, as a result a small number to TalkTalk connections dropped and reconnected.
