INFORMATION
  • INITIAL
    1¼ months ago by Andrew

We're investigating a problem with IPv6 and our CityFibre circuits.

  • UPDATE
    1¼ months ago by Andrew

This looks like our recent software update on our LNSs has introduced a bug where we're no longer routing IPv6 to CityFibre customers. Investigations are underway.

  • UPDATE
    1¼ months ago by Andrew

A work-around has been implemented in that we're steering CityFibre connections to an LNS that has not been upgraded. Customers wishing to restore their IPv6 can PPP re-connect, either by clicking 'PPP Kill' on the control pages or by restarting their router.

  • UPDATE
    1¼ months ago by Andrew

We have a software update to apply that will fix IPv6 for CityFibre circuits. To roll this out, overnight tonight, we will move CityFibre circuits off one of the LNSs and upgrade it. We will then retest this on Wednesday before moving CityFibre circuits on to it in the early hours of Thursday. Updates will follow.

  • UPDATE
    1¼ months ago by Andrew

A fix has been applied to one of our routers (i.gormless) and is now live. Customers will be moved over to it overnight, and we'll start the process of upgrading the other routers we use for CityFibre connections. In the meantime, CityFibre customers can PPP reconnect to connect to the upgraded router to reinstate their IPv6.

  • UPDATE
    1 month ago by Andrew

All CityFibre customers are now connected to routers that have been upgraded with working IPv6.

  • RESOLUTION
    1 month ago by Andrew

This was due to a mix if software update and configuration on our routers for CityFibre.
