We are in a position where we are now able to re-enable one of our interconnects to Amazon/AWS. This will move most Amazon traffic away from our peering with them over LINX to the direct interconnect we have. This is planned for Tuesday morning at around 10AM. (This was scheduled for Friday 28th, but as it was Black Friday, we've moved to Tuesday)
We have enabled our IPv6 peering, but at the moment Amazon are not sending us their routes so traffic direction has not yet changed. We'll get in touch with Amazon and ask them update their side.
This work is on hold due to waiting for a response form Amazon and also due to change-freezes on both sides.
We have BGP sessions up to Amazon on our new links - however, traffic is not yet going across them as Amazon are not sending us any routes yet.
That said, it Amazon are starting to announce routes to us now - starting with IPv6.
And now IPv4 traffic is starting to go over the new links.
Traffic has been flowing over one of our new Amazon links today ok. We consider this upgrade completed.
